Another ....

What a day, day of days. Again back to the city, of Dallas, I go. Again, home have I not spent all of my time. It is good to travel again back to Dallas. The rain was quite annoying as well the unrelenting traffic. (By the way, what is with the toll roads?) But I did persevere. After my task was accomplished into free time I journeyed. I went to the Valley View mall. I have not been there or been able to stop in the last few times I was in the neighborhood. So there I ventured among the rain. Well, first off, the place was not yet open when I arrived. So I know that all of the traffic I faced on the road was not headed there. But then at the appointed time the gates behind the glass doors removed themselves to let the waiting fogies in; I felt downright privileged. It was nice to be walking around in the mall. I especially like it when not too many folks are around. Of course, I did run into a persistent salesperson. He was quite helpful but still his true feelings were effervescent. I did find it neat that he was text messaging with a salesperson at another store who was standing within talking range. Of course I walked the length of the mall; every floor, every hall, just like all of the others. Of course I lost count of the amount of times I had to retie my shoes. And I did buy a new hat because my absolute favorite hat had an unfortunate incident with a cup of coffee. I hope that I can get it cleaned thought because that had cannot be replaced.

After my adventures at Valley View mall (not sure why the name) the morning was still afoot. So instead of walking over to Galleria to watch folks ice skate, I decided to go over to the Northpark mall. Quite a day, two malls that I have not been too before. (Boy will I feel morose when I have been to every mall and have none left to explore) This mall was quite impressive and more of a challenge than I realized. I walked this one at least twice. This is a good place to be, kind of. I had a bit of trouble at the Barney's store. This was scary, but I felt bold enough to venture into it. Whoah, I got to shout. I walked around the store but was only bold enough to browse the shoes and the ties. Quite some selection and variety of the ties. The salespeople were very nicely greeting the guests. I was surprised but glad that I had previously purchased the replacement hat cause I would have been asked to leave with my hair. Minus the outgoing salesfolk, this place was the epitome of all of the movies about New York and the higher fashion biz. (Come to think of it, why don't they make a movie or TV show about Jacqueline Smith?) They even had some funked out guy 'fashionably' wearing some hundreds or more worth of clothing and he was not a staff member either.

The garden area at this place was quite nice, complete with some kids throwing caution into the wind and playing.
