Rotterdam

Rotterdam is a great city with very interesting architecture. There are some older buildings interspersed within the modern and interesting buildings. It has the largest seaport in the world. It is very huge; I took a boat of the harbor. They have humongous ships there filled to capacity with ocean going containers. Far more stuff than everyone in Holland could use. The river was alive with boats. Sailboats sailing along, small boats meandering, taxis zooming, barges flowing, and tourist boats plodding loudly. The Volvo Ocean Race made a stopover in Rotterdam. That was interesting to see. It is the only thing that can peel everyone from the rigors of the soccer being played on the television.

Rotterdam is a wonderful city. It is a great place to just hang out. There are many places to see and things to do. The city has a friendly and inviting atmosphere. There is also much to do for the tourist or fun activities for anyone. There are beautiful parks and a picturesque skyline that you hear a lot about. It is great to sit along the river and just watch the ships pass. There are many restaurants with good food and friendly people.
